Today I am thankful for two healthy, youthful grandmothers.

I have always been close to both of my grandmothers. Up until I moved to Lynchburg, I lived within 5 minutes of one and within 15 minutes of the other. Being 500 miles away from them (and all of my family) has been hard but it makes the times that I do get to see them really special. That's why I am super excited that right now - at this very [early!] moment - I am on a plane to Nashville to surprise one of them! Today is Grandmother (I also have a Mama Katie)’s 80th birthday; my aunt is throwing her a surprise birthday party tonight. I can’t wait to see her face when she sees me!
What are you thankful for today?

I hope you have fun on your trip! I have young grandmothers as well, and it is so much fun! I can't imagine how much more inactive they would be in my life if they weren't as young as they are.
Aww,she will be so excited to see you!! And I bet you're really excited to see her, too :-) Have fun!
Aw how sweet, have a blast friend!!!=)
The event was a fund raising dinner.
We've been doing that at home too. I should add it to my blog though. So sweet. xoxo
