Summer Camp Highlights

Before I get to the camp pictures, I'd like direct your attention to a beautiful story about grace: Fruitcake and Ice Cream. Camp Pastor Louie Giglio (the creator of Passion, which I attended in college) shared this story on the last night of camp. It was truly moving. I have personally experienced ridiculous amounts of grace in my life. [I am so thankful that, two years ago, I had the word tattooed the word on my body.] I don't want to give the story away; you seriously have to read or hear it.

Chicken Fight Tournament

Oh, Cody! I did not want to get my hair wet!
true story...
The theme of the week was FLIP so on the last night of camp - in true Matthew 20:16 fashion - the youth group arrived before all of the other 4,500 students so that they could hold the door for everyone. Even though the front rows were a lot more fun, I'm pretty sure they really enjoyed sitting on the dead last row. They make my little heart so proud.
Oh really, no pets allowed in the hotel? Well, its a good thing Tifi is a baby and not a pet...
Pretty tired from participating in a 2am fire drill... Three miles from home we encountered a wreck that blocked our passage across the mountain. Instead of turning around and going all the way back around, our fearless navigators took us on a "No State Maintenance" gravel road that was not designed for church vans.
So, you're going to read about Fruitcake and Ice Cream now, right...??
